my outlook 2002 emails when I send them out with attachments - these
attachments are being converted from .doc or .xls or .zip to win.dat files?
Does anyone know why this is happening and/or how I can resolve this issue.

1) Ensure that your message format to plain text or html

2) If the name(s) are coming from personal address book/contacts, make sure
the record is not marked to receive Outlook Rich Text only. (e.g. Open an
existing contact record. Double click on email address. Should *not* be
set to Always send Outlook Rich Text)

3) May have to disable using Word as your e-mail editor
