Attachments & Compatibility

I need help very badly!!! I couldn't open attachments
because Windows 98 (Word & Excel) are being used. How
can access this. How can you Windows XP Homne compatible
with Windows 98 or lower version of Windows. Thanks.

Word and Excel are not a part of Windows, they are components of MS Office.
You either need to have Word and Excel installed on your XP Computer or you
need the appropriate viewer that can be downloaded from the following site:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/000/viewers.asp

Hi michael! Thanks for the reply. Succesfully
downloaded Wrod & Excel viewers. I was able to open the
excel attachment on my emails but still attachments under
Word couldn't be open. Could you pls. help me with this
problem. Thanks.

The next step would be to try your question on one of the Word boards. Go
to the following link, scroll to "word.application.errors" and see if they
can help resolve the problem there:
