This is baffling:

I'm having trouble sending attachments. Everyone in my office uses the same
e-mail server, and we all "authenticate" to send mail, since our mail server
is remote. For some reason, however, most of my e-mails with attachments come
back to me, usually with a 553 error. It never happens when I send
internally, and none of my fellow employees has this problem. My attachments
are modestly sized, as well - usually less than 1MB.

I've checked and double-checked my settings. Authentication is set up
properly. We're all using Outlook 2000 (yeah, I know), but like I said, I'm
the only one with this problem.

Thanks for any help!

Teddy

Are you sending to many recipients at one time? 5.5.3 is usually an error
indicating too many recipients.
What type of business environment as far as email goes - Exchange? Are you
using Word as your email editor? Is your version of Word different than your
version of Outlook?

An SMTP response of 553 (not 5.5.3, as Ms. Orland mentions) means that the
recipient address was invalid. Which of these two errors are you receiving?
It always helps to post the exact text of the error.
