Does leaving attachments with many sent and received messages slow down
Outlook 2007?

Not directly, but a larger pst-file could slow down the performance of
Outlook.
How much it will affect you depends on your hardware but in general people
will not notice any slowdowns unless the pst-file grows larger as 5GB.
