We are having a weird problem with Outlook attachments whereby if you copy
and paste attachments from one email into another (e.g. copy attachments 1
and 2 from message A in my Inbox, attachment 3 from message B in my Sent
folder into new draft message C) the attachments appear to be different and
unique (file names are preserved) but the attachment content (and size) is
the same?

If the file names are preserved, and the content and size is the same, how
exactly are they different?

Let me clarify - the 3 files that are copied from other emails are different,
when pasted into a new message, they appear to be different, preserving the
original file name, when you look at the sent item, it appears you sent out 3
different files but when you open the attachments you realize the contents of
each file is identical (even though the file names are different).
