Hi,
I sent someone an email today in plain-text mode, with an attachment
of a pdf file.
She replied that she didn't receive the attachment. I checked my
outbox and the email that I sent her did in fact contain the
attachment. I also tried sending the same message to another account
of mine and the attachment did come through.

She then forwarded the email she received from me, back to me to show
me that the problem is not at her end. The returned mail that came
back to me did in fact no have any traces of an attachment. It is
important to me to know that my attachments do come through properly.
The attached file was a simple pdf so i don't see why it would be
blocked.

So what can be going on here?
thanks for any replies
Gilad

Is the email containing the attachment in your Sent Items folder? That would
show it has gone through and left your mailbox intact.

What Outlook format are you using? If it's Rich Text Format, please switch
to plain text or HTML and see if that helps. Also, are you using Word as your
email editor and is it a different version than Outlook? If so, that could be
the culprit.

In my first question here I wrote Outbox instead of Sent items folder.
I did check the 'Sent items' folder and the email was there with the
attachment intact.
Does that mean the problem is at her end?

I opened this message from the sent items folder and clicked "Resend
this message" and then replaced the original addressee with another
address of my own and sent it again. It arrived to my other address
with the attachment.

The outlook format was plain text and not Rich text.

But in the copy of this same email that she received from me and then
forwarded back to me there was no sign of the attachment.

I guess I'll have to keep my eye open to see if this repeats with
other people I work with

thanks for your help
