Weird problem. When inserting attachment where it resides on the desktop,
Outlook 2003 takes forever (well, several minutes) to insert it. When the
file is in any other folder, insertion is very quick. Insights? Observations?

in My Computer\c: drive\documents and settings\<username>\Local Settings\
Temp folder- if there are many hundreds or thousands of files there, delete
as many as you can.

Did that. Problem still exists. We think it actually may be a corrupted
thumbs.db.

"Hi "richlich" As I have experienced the same frustrating problem with
Outlook 2003 I wonder if you have a solution? I click on desk top to choose
file site and then my modem becomes very active (every time..) connecting to
where?? eventually decktop option available.Thanks for your time..Al MacK
