Attachment -- 'Cut' grayed-out / 'Remove'

Outlook 2003
1. When viewing a message in full view (not preview pane), right click the
attachment, why is 'Cut' grayed-out?
2. When selecting 'Remove', where is the attachment removed to?

      14th Apr 2007
1) Because Cut is not a valid action on this type of object. When the mail
is closed Paste cannot be used. Consider using Save As... or drag & drop
2) Same place where letters go to when you press BACKSPACE
