i m running vista home premium with Mcafee security center

Download and install the free AVG antivirus.
During the install there will be an option to not install certain features.
Be sure to unselect the mail scanning feature.

The newest AVG (7.5 446) support email scanning. I'm installed it yesterday
and it works fine. Good luck.

Turn off email scanning. It is redundant and not compatible with Windows
Mail. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3
