attaching PPT file changes name

Hi folks,
i have Office 2007 on an XP Pro machine. I have one powerpoint file that is
behaving strangely when trying to attach it to an email. I execute the attach
and there is a dialog boxes that says opening file and then the file is
attached but the name has changed to a few random letters and numbers. It is
just one file in particular though that is a a PPT file. Does anyone have any
idea why this would happen during this process? Should I pose it to the
Powerpoint forum instead? Thanks!!!
