attach a password to a certificate

Hi,

I subscribe to an internet banking system that uses a certificate stored on
my PC. previously I had associated a passsword with the certificate so that
I had to put a password in whenever the certificate was used to validate my
identity.

Recently the certificate has been upgraded by the bank but I cannot find a
way of attaching a password to the new one. I'm not sure if this is due to
differences in IE version, the certificate itself or just that I can't find
the option.

Can anyone give me a clue?
