Why is there a attachment icon on an e-mail notification when there is no
attachment to the e-mail.

's Computer Specifications

was it an html message with images? if so, the images are attachments.

There could be an attachment you can't see. Examine the headers of the
message. Are you sending or receiving with Outlook?
