You should all be aware that it appears that if you reply to a post that was
originally made using the Webview by using your NNTP based Newsreader
[Thunderbird, OutLook, Windows Mail, etc] the original poster WILL NOT see
your reply.

If you would like to see if the original post was made using the Webview you
may point your browser here:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...&lang=en&cr=US

Also, it should be noted if it is not apparent, that YOUR ORIGINAL
Interesting and Useful posts are also NOT showing up, in case you are
wondering why you are not getting the replies you might be expecting.

Hopefully MS will fix this soon, it has been going on for a while.
If you have a contact at MS and they owe you a cookie or two, ask them if
they can help out.

I am posting this in WD Announcements and General. If you feel this
information would be of use elsewhere feel free to copy and paste. I have no
idea how this may be effecting other newsgroups or servers or whatevers

Ok, now I get your point: there's a communications hole between the MS
board ("webview") and the NNTP newsgroup (Usenet). Do you mean the
reply is not seen by the OP looking online or at the newsgroup, or both?

Since there are only original posts and replies (or more correctly,
followups), this appears to be a complicated way of saying that NNTP
posts are not making it to the "Webview."

Is that what you were trying to say?

Your NNTP posts, like this one that I am replying to, are not showing up
at all in the webview.

Post made using the webview are showing up in both places, Web and NNTP

Yes, Bert,

The complexity is in that I am trying to stress 2 differnt points.

1. If you answer a post that the OP made using webview it is likely s/he
will be using that same method to look for a reply and will not see your
answer. This to me is a very important point.

2. Incicently, your new posts will only be seen by folks use NNTP and
only they will reply to them. But since they and you can see them and
reply to them neither you nor they will be confused. Still, you should
be aware.

Yep, there are 5 posts in this thread at the moment, but your post is
the only one showing at the MS Discussions site. A bug to be reported,
if you haven't.

Ahh, but to whom and how?

BillS has always been my goto guy, and he seems to be at a loss as well.

I passed the information on through someone with current MVP credentials.
He has passed the information on as well. I'm not sure how many levels this
goes through at this point--but we've complained, and I'm sure they are
getting the complaint to the right parties.

Not really Stu,

NNTP posts are Still NOT showing in the WebView.
This has been going for too long, it needs to be fixed or the Webview
needs to be taken down.
