STOP!!!!!!
DO NOT REPLY TO THE TROLL MESKITE IN THIS THREAD!!!

Please focus on my business at hand.
Ignore his words: he just wants to provoke you. Like any troll,
recognize the behavior: don't get sucked into his game.

The last discussion about Atlantic Inkjet degenerated into a hundred
posts flaming back and forth -- it was too hard for me to plow through
all the garbage to find answers' the thread was almost entirely flames.
That's why I've got to try again.

------------------------------------------------------

I'm interested in ordering a couple of refilled cartridges from them, as
well as some ink. My printer is an ordinary Hewlett-Packard 940 inkjet.
I am not interested in printing photographs. I'm particularly interested
in feedback pertaining to HP or other printers with similar ink
formulation. As I understand it, HP uses pigmented black and dye for color.

1. Do they use the same ink for cartridges as they do for bulk liquids
and refill kits?
2. Have they been consistent?
3. How has the quality been for HP inkjet supplies?
4. And, what in the world is the difference between Atlantic Inkjet and
Re-Inks, which has all the signs of being the same company?
5. Do they operate under yet more business names?
6. What's the difference between ordering from one name vs. the other?

Thanks, and remember: do not encourage the troll!

Richard

Atlantic operates two websites: atlanticexchange.com and atlex.com. Don't
ask me why.

As an aside, it's been over a year since I bought my Epson CX6600 and was
about to order a replacement (hi-capacity) black cartridge. Since I am an
occasional printer, and fear the wrath of you-know-who, I opted for an
original.

Other than Atlantic, I had only seen the cartridge at one retail outlet
(can't remember which). The price was very attractive, but after checking
(via web) I was able to get one locally at Office Depot for less than a
dollar's difference from Atlantic's bottom line price with shipping and
handling, less my local sales tax included.

OK, take it easy, I am unarmed. I mean you no harm. I swear to God I will
not reply to the person you referred to in this thread. Can I move now?
Thanks.

A question better answered by Atlantic. They respond very quickly.

> 2. Have they been consistent?

I find so. But then unless you order every week, it don't make that much
difference. My previous orders gave me enough ink for several years. By
the next order the printer might already be obsolete and replaced.

> 3. How has the quality been for HP inkjet supplies?

We used some for an HP 920. No problem whatsoever. Never a clog,
recycled the same cartridges many times.

Same company, different website. Same stock, same price (I assume).
Having several websites increases their coverage I suppose. I have no
complaints. That's the way business is often done on the Internet. Get
used to it. I've actually bought ink from both websites - depending on
my mood. :-)

Maybe. If you're not sure, their contact information/address will let
you know.

Your order is placed to a different website, not different company.

Ditto.....have used this supplier for HP and Canon carts for nearly 3 years.
No problems of any kind. I am not a heavy printer and that COULD cause some
problems if the ink was significantly inferior to OEM. There are times that
my printer (Canon) was not used for 5-6 weeks. One cleaning, and all is
well. (with Atlantic inks). I have already saved enough $$$$ to pay for
another print head for the Canon. Enough said.

nobody knows cause they will not disclose that information

> 2. Have they been consistent?

you cannot determine that since they do not disclose the mfg/formulator
you never know when they change

> 3. How has the quality been for HP inkjet supplies?

generic ink fades more quickly. see www.wilhelm.com

you cannot tell. many relabelers sell the same junk under different
labels to cover their bases since they do not disclose one cannot track
performance in the marketplace

> 5. Do they operate under yet more business names?

call them and ask them and see if you can get an honest answer

> 6. What's the difference between ordering from one name vs. the other?

who knows

>

if one does not need the ink for photos and the printhead is integrated
in the ink cart then the risk of loss is limited to leaking and ruining
the printer that way. i guess if you are planning on getting rid of the
printer soon you can take the chance.

I guessed that there are many who have associations with the
relabelers. How did you determine this.

Of course not. I'm asking a question, looking for an answer. Last time
someone asked a question like this about this company, Miskito generated
a 100-post flame war instead.

If so, how's it going? Hi, howdy, nice to meet you. I'm

Uh, what webmaster are you?

I have no direct experence with these companies.

In "image-specalists" numbers the HP takes
Black WJ1020
Cyan WJ2044
Magenta WJ6063
Yellow WJ7003

My canon ip3000 took
Black WJ1020
Magenta WJ2032
Cyan WJ6053
Yellow WJ797

You have to check on a company by company basis. Ususally this is
painfully clear on the website.

> 2. Have they been consistent?

I can say MIS ink from Image specalistis for Canon has been consistant.
As the IS # for the black is identical I can at least speak for that.
It worked well, a little slower to dry than canon OEM, and seemed to
pool a little on the costco coated inkjet paper. Other than that it
was quite fab.

> 3. How has the quality been for HP inkjet supplies?

I have no experence with aftermarket on the HP. I have a friend who
complained about the black and color intensity, but this could be that
he bought a generic kit.

I have no actual clue on this level. If talking retail there are
companies known as drop shippers, as in their purpose in life is to
make a catalog, take your money, and have someone else ship you goods.
One company deals with the mechanics of business, getting stuff and
sending stuff, where others deal with the social aspect of business,
taking orders, taking returns. Now... in the world of web you can sell
things on your website that blong to someone else, like though
Amazon.com. Also in the world of web you can buy as many domains for
your company as you like, so long as they are available. What
reinks/atlantic inkjet is going, I have no idea. You could ask them.
