Almost all cards have some form of MPEG2 assist. In any case, the codec
poses no problem for modern CPUs. Far more computationally-intensive are the
MPEG4 and WMV HD videos. All Radeons 9500 and newer (including all the X----
series) support DXVA. 1080p WMV HD videos run with 30% CPU utilization and
no dropped frames.
