I have an ATI x600 video card on a Gigabyte 8I945P-g motherboard, and I am
running an OEM MCE 2005. I have purchased a WinPVR 150, and when i try to
connect to live TV or watch DVDs with it (DVD's never worked, i used media
player instead), it fails, mentioning a decoder error. I first had installed
a number of decoders (nvidia's purevideo decoder, cyberDVD, as well as nero).
I tried uninstalling all of the others, leaving only purevideo, but it still
didn't work with media center. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling
purevideo as well, but that didn't work either. With all of the decoders
installed, DVD's would play in media player, but not in media center. Now
that i have uninstalled all of them, it does not work in media player either.
what should I do?
