ATI WDM Rage Theater Video problem

I've had a message saying that my ATI WDM Rage Theater
Video 'device cannot start' ever since I built my
computer - I don't have a Rage card, though, I have an
Radeon 9600 Atlantis with the latest drivers. THe only
detriment I've experienced with video is slowing of video
followed by speedy 'catching up' ... and I haven't been
able to play "American Conquest" at all. Does this make
any sense to anyone out there?
