ATI TV Wonder question

Hi Everyone,

This may be a stupid question, but I just installed an ATI TV Wonder TV
Tuner card and I can watch tv, record tv, and I have audio... the
problem is that when I record I can't seem to find the files so I can
burn them to a cd/dvd. They're in the "Library" and I can watch them
from there, but where are the actual mpg's/avi's or whatever? There's
a folder on my D drive, and it says there's 787mb in there, but there
are only 4 files and the largest one is 18kb. There's nothing hidden
in the folder that I can see. What's going on?

Thanks!

They are *.VCR files. You need to change your setting in Folder Options to
be able to see system files. You still need to use library to convert them
to MPG if you want to use them with something other than ATI software. VCR
files contain the Closed Caption. If you want to capture directly to AVI/MPG
or other change your settings in the DVR.

I'm using ATI's drivers and utilities. I figured out that you have to
export them from the library to whatever file type you want, but now my
question is that even after I export them from the library to a file,
that ATI folder still shows the same amount of space used and I can't
delete it. My folder shows hidden files but there just aren't any
there!

Anyone have any ideas??

Right click the file in question in the library program and view its
properties. This will show you where the file is located. Additionally,
TV/Setup/Personal Video Recorder tab, One Touch Record button will bring up
the folder for this type of recordings.

Right clicking on the file in the library doesn't show it's path, it
only shows what type of file it is, when it was created and what size
it is.

When I went into the setup for one touch recording it was set up as my
documents folder, but files of some sort are still going to D:\ATI MMC,
and they're VERY large files. I just don't get it. I'm going to just
have to delete that D drive folder every now and then I guess.

Maybe it differs with different versions of MMC but my 9.08 version shows in
the Library file properties among other things a "location" section which
does contain the path. If you haven't got at least version 9.08, you may
wish to install a newer version than you currently have.
