ATI Radeon x1650, changed icons, Need Help Please

's Computer Specifications

I disabled on-board video & installed new higher res ATI Radeon x1650. All of
my desktop icons were changed to generic icon. I am running Vista Ultimate

's Computer Specifications

did you install the drivers for vista.
did you go back and adjust the color properties.
