Go to a run of MSConfig.exe (if necessary after booting to Safe Mode)
and on that in the Boot.ini page check /BASEVIDEO and reboot.
You should now be able to run the downloaded catalyst set and have them
install - if they still will not, go to Control Panel - System -
Hardware - Device Manager, find the adapter and double click - on the
Driver page, click to uninstall the drivers, and then try
Before rebooting after the installation has gone through, run MSConfig
again, to uncheck the box. Once you reboot, there will be a message
about 'Troubleshooting' - check the 'dont show again' box and OK
