I recently bought a new computer and I ordered it with a ATI Radeon
9600 PRO card. I checked the card and also the Windows setup, and I
can't see any mention that indicates I have a real 9600 PRO installed.
Only appears as "ATI RADEON 9600 SERIES". Does it exist some way to
recognize the card I have already installed is a real 9600 PRO and not
a basic 9600 ?

If the standard XP driver is loaded rather than the driver that came with
the card, then you may see this. I have just upgraded to XP and radeon 9600
PRO card and when I first installed it, it just said 9600 series card. Once
I loaded the driver from the CD that came with the card it had many more
options in the advanced settings and also now says 9600 PRO. Also
physically check the card and see what it says on it.
