I try to use 1 video card with 2 monitors.. in win2k
ATI 9200 (i tried too with 7500.. same prob..)
I want to have 2 independant monitors with 2 differents resolution (for
exemple: #1 with 1024x768.. and #2 with 1280x1024)
same as having 2 video cards.. it's work very well with matrox dualhead
G450.. but not with ATI cards...
with task bar in only one display..
I don't want to extend my desktop to 2048x768.. (all fu*king messagebox
appear between the 2 monitors lol)
I want to have good refresh rate (85 hz for monitor #1 and 100hz for #2) not
60hz for each monitor
and I don't want to upgrade to WinXP .. I already have computer with WinXP..
but this one need to be Win2k
I can't keep my matrox dualhead because I changed one of my 2 monitors for a
DVI

i try to do this with WinXP.. and it's work.. maybe Ati drivers in Windows
2000 don't support this functionnality ? .. only for ATI ?!.. maybe Matrox
have special drivers ?! ....

any Idea ?

Manufacturer writes the drivers for their hardware, not microsoft.
Complain to them.

I've used ATI dual cards with no problem, though confess only in extended
desktop mode.
Are you sure Hydrovision supports dual 'independent monitors' I'm not sure
that it does.
Currently I use an Nvidea card this does support both dual independent and
extended desktop
If contemplating an Nvidea card be aware procedure for installing drivers is
critical.
