After installing the recent Microsoft security fixes and the latest XP
drivers for my Radeon 9000 Pro AIW, I have a new icon in my WinXP
Notification Area. If I double left click it, nothing obvious
happens. If I right click, a popup appears with "Help", "About", and
"Exit". The About shows it is "ATI Device Detection Version 1.0".
The Help indicates that file atidtct.hlp is missing, and Exit makes
the icon disappear with no obvious difference.

A google search provides no info. MSCONFIG shows atidtct.exe is
being loaded by a RUN entry in the registry.

What is it for and should I use MSCONFIG to stop loading it?

Thanks!
