ok open the mixer either creatives or windows' which ever your using, and either mute WAV/MP3(whichever its called) OR line in and
the sound will return to normal....the one you decide on should be the one that the sound card does NOT use to record the sound. Its
always WAV on mine, leaving line-in UN muted allows me to record audio with the video
