I have an XP system with an ATI 9600 and Samsung 213T 21" display. When I
try to set the display resolution to 1600x1200 I get a display that is
panned. That is, the ATI creates a virtual display of 1600x1200 but leaves
the real display set to 1280x1024.
I recently upgraded from a Samsun 191T which was only 19" and could only run
up to 1280x1024 and the ATI drivers keep loading the 191T monitor drivers no
matter what I do. I've tried uninstalling botht he monitor and the ATI
drivers and then loading the 213T driver first and then the ATI but the ATI
driver keeps automatically loading the 191T monitor and I can't get around
this.
The 213T works perfectly on my other systems with Matrox cards.
