Hey,

just put one of these in my system, not sure what temperature it should be running at. Its idling at the moment at 39/40 C but under load has touched the high 50's. Does this sound good and proper to everyone, or is that load temp a little high?

Ta.

What cooler are you using? I have a 4800X2 and it sits at around 45 under full load 24/7. I usea Gigabyte 3D Rocket Pro.

I would say thats too high under full load - my pair of X2 3800's are running at 49/50C under full load whilst crunching 24/7, and thats with stock AMD coolers.

My X2 3800's are always under 40 and over 30. Thats with 3 fans.
How often does it reach the 50's?

maybe you need more airflow

Sorry, been away from the internet for a couple of days.

Thats the heatsink I'm using. The temperature fluctuates alot, in can stay down near 33, but then upto 50 at other times.

Never heard of that make - looks a bit cheap and nasty to be honest, but you could try re-seating it.

However I would recommend you get yourself an Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro, or Zalman CNPS9500-LED Aero Flower
