Athlon 64 compatibility

Hello

I just installed Win2000 Pro on my new PC: Athlon 64 3200+, ASUS K8V mainboard, 512MB PC3200 DDR RAM, GeForce FX5200/128mb, Maxtor 80GB...

It works fine but sometimes while compiling some libraries using Borland C++ Builder v6 (patched with SP4) the system locks. It's very strange. Is is due of Windows or due of BCB

Any ideas
