ATA 100 mode 5

      15th Jul 2003
how do I set my ATA 100 harddisk to run in mode 5? I am
set at multi-word mode 2 now. Western digital 200 Gbyte
on a Gigabyte p875i MoBo. Is this a hardware problem or
is there a setting to be made?

What about the INF drivers for Intel chipset. Did you install it? Also,
what happens if you change the Primary IDE Channel Properties/Advance
Settings/Transfer Mode to DMA if available? Does it stick?
