In the manual, it looks like two sticks or four sticks are
valid configurations. It could be that the ATI chipset
doesn't have virtual single channel mode (an Intel dual
channel can take three sticks, other dual channel motherboards
don't work the same way).
Just get another stick to match the one you just bought.
