Asus Xonar: disabling DS3D GX

The audio card is Asus Xonar Essence STX.

I noticed when I disabled DS3D GX (in order to play some old games
without crashing), I could no longer have more than one program to
produce sound. I could not start both foobar2000 and the game, and hear
sound from both programs.

Is there a solution to this?

1. Seems that it's the problem of ASIO4ALL.

1. Foobar2000 1.0 is out and now
I could use foo_out_asio.dll without error.

Doesn't ASIO4ALL bypass the Windows mixer ? That is
how it is supposed to get low latency performance.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_Stream_Input/Output

"method of bypassing the inherently high latency of
Windows audio mixing kernels (KMixer)"

But if I used ASIO4ALL and disabled DG3D SX, I would not be able to both
play games and listen to music. How could I fixed that?
