Can anyone tell me how I disable this or remove it completely? My
system is experiencing very rare freezes and I am going through a long
process of elimination. Since the Asus Firewall crap that came on my
motherboard caused me so much trouble I am suspicious of this "asus
splendid video technology"... how do I kill it?

How about telling us in detail about the freezes you get. To start off with
what does freeze mean? Does the mouse pointer still move? Does caps lock
still toggle? How about ALT Tab or CTRL Esc? If any of these still work then
your system is not frozen, so please describe what happens.

If you actually get a BSOD, what is the STOP code?

What makes you think it is the graphics card? What make and model is it?
Does it work in another computer? Does your computer go OK with a different
make / model / chipset card?

If there is an option to turn a feature off, it will likely be in Disply
Propertie/ Setting, Advanced nd b on dd in tab somewhere.
