I'm interested in upgrading to the new AMD64 cpu's. I heard some issue's
with bad capacitors on some ASUS boards. Is it the SK8V VIA8T800 board with
the problem? What Rev mobo should I look for?

Thanks for some input,
Art C.

The bad cap issue is on the K8V. I don't see anything in
the Asus FAQ page for the SK8V.

Hi Art,

The problem is with the K8V board for the Athlon 64. I have just received
this board last week (Rev1.12) from Newegg.com and their are no bad
capacitors on my board. In fact, it is working great, thanks to Paul for
getting me started.

The SK8V is for the Athlon 64 FX CPU's.

Good Luck,
Carl
