Have a system built up with a Asus SK8V and is running Windows XP
w/SP1. I have tried both with a MS Wireless mouse and is now using a
Logitech MX510. I have the latest drivers from VIA and Logitech, and I
have tried connecting the mouse both through USB and PS/2. Also tried
without Logitechs drivers.

The problem is that quite often the mouse start lagging for some
seconds -- this can happen in different Windows-applications or in
games. Also before Windows XP was reinstalled this happend.

Sometimes it seemed like it happend when there was HDD-activity, so I
have tried using both the VIA and Promise-controller for connecting
the HDDs (both S-ATA), but no difference. Seems to happend also when
there ain't HDD-activity.

This ain't happenin too often. Let's say 2-3 times for each hour of
use. I can have bascily no apps running and it happens. Worst is when
playing games... :-\

Complete system:
Asus SK8V
2x512 MB Corsair DDR400 REG/ECC
Hitachi 7K250 and Seagate 7200.7 S-ATA HDDs
Plextor PX-712A
Plextor Premium 52x
SB Audigy2
Abit GeForce FX5900
