Hi gurus,

I'm not sure whether this is a os or a hardware issue but anyway..

My recently purchased Asus W1/NA laptop works perfectly apart that
when I put it to the standby mode it goes fine, but then it suddendly
after some five minutes or so resumes back to the 'power on' state by
itself. No matter if the lid is closed or not, no matter if AC power
is connected or not.

Could anyone give me please any kind of hint of how to debug this
problem?

In system properties, check the wireless network adapter and see if under
the power management tab the box is checked for "allow this device to bring
the system out of stand by", if so, uncheck it.

I'm no expert, but that was happening on my laptop, ant this fixed it.
