I got a ASUS K8V Deluxe MB running W2k and was thinking of buying
a new Harddisc with NCQ.

Does the onboard Controller "VT 8237 S-ATA RAID" support
S-ATA Harddiscs with NCQ?

In summary, NO, sorry.
The drive will work fine, but without NCQ.
I just got a new NCQ-capable 300GB Maxtor drive for my K8V so I did some
homework on the subject. (The drive is still good btw)
I think that the only Athlon motherboards that have working NCQ are
Nforce4-based ones.
