Dear All,

I have system builded with ASUS A8V Deluxe - following components:
- AMD 3200+ 64
- Seagate Barracuda 160Gb 7200.2 (UDMA - no serial)
- Radeon 9600 graph.
- 2x512 MB RAM - Infineon based - Dual; Channel

Mainboard have loaded newest BIOS (1017) and no Overclocking at all.

System work unstable - HDD transmission app. 1,5-4 Mb/s (also to DVD disk),
between-whiles system switch off without any reasons.
1) HDD isn't damaged - I checked system with other HDD - same situation.
2) Cable HDD-Mainboard was replaced - same situation.
3) CPU temp., System temp are correct - app. 30-35 Celsius degrees.
4) Processor speed is shown with 2000 MHz (???)

I suppose (only suppose) damage of VT8237 - but Im not sure. Any hints ?

Regards,
Luck

When a disk will only transfer files at 4MB/sec, it is running
in PIO mode. You need to select "DMA, if available" in
Device Manager. And if excessive CRC errors are detected
by Windows, that can be the reason that the devices are
being run in PIO mode. See the "Workaround" section on
this page for example:
