I have bought the above in september 2004 and installed it, the first 1.5-2
month it ran 24+7 with no problems (I am a Seti Cruncher), then first the
Lan (Wire) was down.. with no time to spare due to my work I disabled the
LAn and used the WiFi.. just until I had time to look at the problem :-(
about a week later the WiFi got the computer to reboot every other time it
was serching for a connection, at that time I thougt it was best to turn the
computer off until the time came where I had time. And here is my problem:
Every time I try to turn the computer on to test it, it says the CPU is
overcloked and freezes. Acording to the manual its almost normal procedure,
but the bios should reset the CPU clokking and restart, and that never
happens. I have tryed to reset the bios by jumper and by polling out the
battery and powercord, moving the jumper and waiting to the next day...
nothing seems to help. In desperacy I have tryed to pull out the CPU restart
the computer (getting the message 'No CPU') turning it of and reinserting
the CPU, stil no respons other than 'the CPU is overclokked'
My system is:
Cabinet: Thermaltake XaserIII
PSU: Thermaltake Xaser (Original Cabinet CPU)
Mainboard: A8V Deluxe-G
CPU: AMD 64 3500+
Grafik: HIS Excalibur 9200
HD: Samsung SP1604N (times 2)
DVD: Sony Dual Layer
Cooling: Zallman Water System (CPU only) + 2*80mm fans (cabinet)
Hope annyone out there have anny idea.
Søren.
