Asus A7N8X-E deluxe and r9700pro

Want to buy that mobo and read in a german mag they had compatibility probs
with a radeon card,something near the backplate(the DVI connector?) touching
some mobo component.Anyone out there who knows something?

Don't know... doubt it.

AGP spec says there is a default size limits on the card and where
external connectors maybe placed.

You could try to google search it on the WEB or newsgroups.

Never heard any issues with the ATI fitting...

Besides... ATI 9700 / 9800 are SMALL cards compared to older GF4-Ti
cards and current FX5700~5900 cards.

My A7N8X Deluxe (not E) works with a Crucial 9800 Pro.

I would be surprised if you have problems with a PCI or AGP card touching a
motherboard component other than the slot.

I have A7N8X Deluxe (1.4) with a 9700 Pro, no problems.

I have an A7N9X-E Deluxe that's working fine with a Radeon 9800 pro. I need
to open it up sometime soon to add some bits, when I do I'll _try_ to
remember to look and see if I can identify whatever they had in mind.

I have that very setup, and have had no difficulties with it.
