How do I set the right mouse click to associate (open with) more than one
application? Currently "txt" is associated with Notepad, but would also like
to have another choice - Wordpad, or Word - depending on what I would like to
do with the file. Other files like "ISO, RAR, ZIP, AVI..." have multiple
choices. Files like "DOC, TXT, HTM, PDF ..." do not. I have a PDF reader that
loads faster that I would like to have as a choice as well. Is there a way to
accomplish this?

Thanks in Advance ...

You want a choice, choose open with and then choose, else it's only one
option at a time.

JustUs,

Windows Explorer
Tools
Folder options
/File Types\

In 'Registered File Types', scroll down to TXT.
Click [Advanced]

For each other choice (Wordpad, Word, ...),
click [New]
In the 'Action:' box, tyoe Wordpad
For the 'App used ..:', click [Browse] and navigate to Wordpad.exe
Click [ok]

Repeat for Word, ...
When fini, [ok] [Close]

If you want to have to select the desired application each time you
double-click a file, you need to ensure that it is associated with
nothing. Only then will you be offered a choice.
