I found my old Zip Drive and tried to see what was on the disk. The software
changed my Boot drive to G: instead of what it's supposed to be. XP boots
fine off the C: drive yet it changes it to G: after it boots up. Since I have
a few shortcuts pointing to C: (which is now G they don't work (duh). Anway
I want to know how to fix this without using setup again! I do not want to
reinstall it for the hundreth time. There ought to be a way I can use regeit
to fix this since its Windows that is changing the drive because something in
the registry changed. The only fix I could find on Technet is a reinstall.
And that was written in 2002. Its 5 years later and there should be an easier
fix? Any Help would be appriciated.

Open up run (Win-R) and paste in the following:

%SystemRoot%\system32\compmgmt.msc /s

Select Disk Management. Then right click on the drive and change the
drive letter.
