Click Start, Run (type) Diskmgmt.Msc [Enter]
Locate the volume identifier for the Flash drive
*Usually Volume size is the best way to locate a
Flash drive or it will be the highest numbered disk_.
Right Click over the Volume name/Letter and when the
menu appears Left Click "Change Driver Letter and paths"
Almost all recent Flash drives are USB2.0 compliant so it
won't make any difference if you plug the drive into a different
USB socket. *Unless your PC has multiple Enhanced controllers.
