Used to be, in win3.1 or 98, that one could assign a drive letter to a
CD drive, by going to Device Manager and clicking on the drive and
somewhere in there was a spot to assign a drive letter, like Y or Z.

Is it still there in winXP?

Thanks

Easiest: Start | Run | diskmgmt.msc

Right click My Computer and choose Manage. In the new window choose
Disk Management. Right click the drive in question and select 'Change
Drive Letter and Paths'.

Thanks, and thanks, Bob.

I've been to that screen, but coudln't tell the drives were clickable,
If I looked at all the dropdown menus, I didn't appreciate Drive
Pathes. I probably didn't look at View anyhow.
