Is there a way to take individual components or pieces of a puzzle and
animate thier coming together to create a whole picture?

Start with the puzzle pieces assembled.
Set the animation for each piece to "Fly In" You can customize each entry to
fly in from different places. Also in PPT 2002 and newer, you can add spin
emphasis to help the pieces fall into place.

Yes, depends on how you want to animate it. You can add fade in animation
(Click Slide Show > Custom Animation. Select all the pieces, click Add Effect
> Entrance > Fade. Set all effects Start as "On click" or "After Previous")

to the pieces so they fade in one by one until it is shown as a complete
puzzle. You can also add Motion Path so that individual pieces will move in
motion and form the complete puzzle.

If you want to transform an image into pieces of puzzle, you can duplicate
several copies of the image in PowerPoint, then make use of the crop tool to
divide the images. There is a 4 Picture Animations example on TLC which you
can take a look at: http://tlccreative.com/ppt_tutorials.htm

Hi Jeff,
If you want puzzle pieces, there is one in the clip art.
Click Insert > Pictures > Clip Art.
Search for puzzle.
Select the Four Interlocking puzzle pieces.
Then, right click on the puzzle clipart, select grouping > ungroup.
This will allow you to animate the pieces individually. Hope it helps.
