ASR recovery issues

Hi there,

I'm experimenting with ASR as a recovery option. I'm initially using
it on some workstations, if these tests are successful then we'll move
on to servers. However, I'm having some trouble with the restore
process.

It all appears to go OK, but in fact the trust relationship between
the Domain and the Computer account has failed. The PC gets errors
like:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: NETLOGON
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5721
Date: 18/04/2005
Time: 3:42:05 PM
User: N/A
Computer: TEST-PC
Description:
The session setup to the Windows NT or Windows 2000 Domain Controller
\\dc.domain.com.au for the domain DOMAIN failed because the Domain
Controller does not have an account for the computer TEST-PC.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Data:
0000: 8b 01 00 c0 ‹..À

The DC gets error messages like:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: NETLOGON
Event Category: None
Event ID: 5805
Date: 18/04/2005
Time: 3:47:55 PM
User: N/A
Computer: DC
Description:
The session setup from the computer TEST-PC failed to authenticate.
The following error occurred:
Access is denied.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Data:
0000: 22 00 00 c0 "..À

This continues after separating and re-joining the computer to the
domain, both by using the wizards, using the manual steps on the PC
and by deleting and creating the account manually on the DC. I'm
stumped. Has anyone seen this, or has any ideas?

Cheers,

Mick
