I'm trying include another page in my aspx page and it will not include the
code from the other page. It works when I include the page in an asp page
but it will not include it when its an aspx page. When you look at the
source on the asp page you see the code it included but when you look at the
source on the aspx you just see the include statement. Does anyone know why
this is?

thanks
curtis

I've noticed the same behavior and no, I don't know why it
occurs. I can only tell you that:

o The behavior has persisted into FP2003 Beta 2 Technical
Refresh.
o I reported it as a bug in FP2003 beta 1.
o Microsoft closed the bug, stating the feature was
working correctly.

What's odd is that FrontPage displays the included content
in Page view, but doesn't add the same included content
into the Web page when you save it. If FrontPage isn't
going to include the content on Save, it shouldn't display
it in Page view. Or vice verse.

To work around this remarkably bug-like feature, I usually
make the included content an ASP.NET user control, and
include the content that way. I believe SSI's also work,
but that approach offers no way to adjust picture file
paths and other variable aspects of the control.
