Does anyone know how to fix the aspect ratio in Windows
XP Home. A couple of days ago the aspect ratio went
wacky. The horizontal range is now past the size of the
screen and everything looks elongated. I tried reloading
the video driver, resetting the monitor configuration and
also tried to restore Windows to a time prior to the
problem but no luck.

Thanks.

Any chance it could be a monitor hardware problem? Or malware?

This could also be caused by failing hardware. Hook the machine up to a
different monitor - does the problem persist? If yes, then you know the
original monitor is good. Swap in a different video card. Everything
better now? If yes, then you know the original video card is bad.
