It's not the aspnet_client folder causing the problem
(but it is a good idea to convert that folder to a subweb if not using it)

| Having rebuilt my PC and reloading office again, I dont seem able to get
| certain asp pages to work properly. The error message I am getting on them
| is - "Syntax error in query. Incomplete query clause". As far as I can
| remember I have not changed the queries in the relevant mdb file or indeed
| the pages themselves. I have checked the global asa file is upto date and I
| am still getting the problem. I do note that my web hosting provider has now
| added .net functionality to their service as some .net files/folders now
| appear in my webspace area, but I haven't a clue as to what impact if any
| that might cause with my pages. What coul d be the problem and what is the
| fix?
