ASP & Frontpage Extensions

It seems that trying to make my whole site ASP (to take advantage of
password protecting) I have found that some of the features that require
extensions will not work when it is contained on an ASP or am I doing
something wrong?

Many Components, such as Forms, Included Content, etc., will not work if you
change the extension to asp. They require htm
