Windows 2000 doesn't have remote assistance software built-in. You might
consider pcAnywhere or VNC (realvnc.com) which is free. You need to get
ZoneAlarm either to trust the IP address (or subnet) of the connecting
pc, or to allow the correct port number to be routed to your own pc.
The port number will depend on the assistance software you are using.
You may also need to configure the device that connects you to the
Internet, if it is anything more complicated than a basic modem. If you
are hoping to receive remote assistance, then your helper should be able
to advise. If you're hoping to provide assistance, I think you're a bit
out of your depth, and you'll need to find someone to set it up for you.
ZoneAlarm has good Help, and you may nevertheless be able to figure it
out. Step by step instructions to a relative beginner would take longer
