As far as I'm aware, Outlook 2007 must use Word as the email editor and it
should be the same version to avoid problems but I think someone else can
answer this more precisely.
As far as PST size, yes Outlook 2007 can have a much larger PST size. You
would have to create a PST in Outlook 2007 and NOT bring in the PST from
2002/XP. Then you would have to move the contents of the old PST into the new
one.
If you use the existing PST fron Outlook XP, you will retain the size limit.
